Rider notes: Well, I didn't do the century option -- the century route would have taken me down to Nederland from Ward and then back up. I, rather my legs, were not ready for that much of climbing. So, took the shortcut and finished with 75 miles.
Head winds on peak-to-peak highway. It was very pretty along both St. Vrain Canyon (CO-7) and along the peak-to-peak (CO-72).
I am dedicating this ride to the memory of Tim Russert, the moderator of NBC's Meet the Press. My Sundays will be less complete after his untimely passage. May his soul, if there is a soul, rest in peace.
