Total distance: 101 miles

Total time: 7 hours 25 minutes

Total ascent: 6458 ft, Total descent: 6422 ft

Rider notes: The hardest century ever. It was windy, head winds that is, for the first 45 miles or so. The average speed was 12.0 mph for the first 50-55 miles.

Fortunately, we had a downhill for the last 30 miles or so, with the previously demoralizing wind now becoming a terrific tail wind.

Heavy rollers, all the way.

Total distance: 57 miles

Total time: 3 hours 52 minutes

Total ascent: 2494 ft, Total descent: 2480 ft

Rider notes: Castle-Rock-Lake Gulch Road-Palmer Lake. Rode with RMCC. Found two good companions, Susan and Paul. We worked together as a team. The return was terrible with heavy head winds. But we pacelined and so managed to share the work a lot. Tough, but nice ride!
