The second day is one of the hardest of this tour. That day, we went over the Grand Mesa. This is the largest Mesa in the world. It was a nearly 19 mile climb for nearly 4600 ft.

The descent on the west was very steep (6000 ft) and long (22 miles). I enjoyed this part. At least one rider crashed during the descent.

The rest of the way to Grand Junction was mere leg work as we go through a Canyon near I-70, then on to I-70 and then to Grand Junction. It was hot that day.
