About Cyclogz™
This site is created and maintained by me, Subbu Allamaraju, a software engineer by profession.
Here is a brief history of this site. I bought a Garmin™ Edge® 305 bicycle computer for my road bike for the 2007 season. One of my first obsessions with my Garmin™ Edge® 305 was to be able to see different kinds of logs and reports and be able to share with other cyclists, all without paying a penny. A result of this obsession is Cyclogz™. But why create Cyclogz™?
Garmin™ provides a Garmin Tranining Center™ for uploading and managing logs on personal computers. There is MotionBased that lets you upload, and manage unlimited (for a fee) logs. Then there are sites like My Cycling Log and Wikiloc which provide ways to manage logs, but require user input - either by typing in numbers and notes, or by uploading files!
I wanted something that is easier, more flexible, open, and above all a free place for cyclists to store and manage their logs, as well as share it with fellow cyclists, while saving the $ for energy food, coffee, spare tubes, and of course, more fancy bikes.
In creating Cyclogz™, my goal was to let the software do the work while you relax after each ride. No elaborate forms to submit, no complex conversions from various GPS formats! It should not take more than a couple of minutes to add a log to Cyclogz™. Try it out for yourself.
Cyclogz is still undergoing development. If you have any feature suggestions, please do email, and I will be more than happy to incorporate them.
Like this site and want to support? The best way to support Cyclogz™ is to spread the word among other cyclists. The more the merrier.
